With winter weather upon us it is important that our patrons understand when we might close due to inclement weather.

If the Topsfield schools are canceled, the Library typically follows the Town Hall’s decision to close.

If the Town Hall closes for business, the Library will be closed for the full day. If the Town Hall is not closed, the Library may delay opening to the public until weather conditions change, but will be open.

If the Topsfield schools have a delayed opening, the Topsfield Town Library will delay opening until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  The Library will open regular hours 12 noon on Wednesday and Friday.

On Saturdays and during evening hours, the Library must make a decision independent of Town Hall and schools. Safety of staff and the public is our primary consideration in deciding to close the Library. Please check in with us by calling 978-887-1528 when the weather is questionable.
