Get a Library Card

Any resident of Topsfield age six or older may obtain a library card with proof of residency.  A MA driver’s license or state-issued ID stating your Topsfield address will be sufficient. If you are new to town and your picture ID does not have your Topsfield address, please bring in a piece of mail stating your name and Topsfield address in addition to your picture ID.

Having a Topsfield Town Library card will allow you to borrow from any other library in the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium. In addition, you may request items from any MVLC library to be sent to your home library.  You can do this in person in the library, over the phone, or at home through the online catalog. For a list of all the libraries in MVLC, click here.

Borrowing Rules and Restrictions:

Books, audiobooks, magazines, and CDs may be checked out for 3 weeks. DVDs may be checked out for one week.

Items may be renewed once if nobody has requested the item. You may renew by logging into your account online before the due date, or by calling the main desk.

You may check out up to 10 DVDs or videos, and 15 CDs or audio books at one time. There is no limit on books.
